In shadows deep, the pain resides,
An unseen foe that never hides.
It whispers low, it shouts so loud,
A ghostly figure in a crowd.
Each breath a trial, each step a fight,
A war that’s waged both day and night.
With weary eyes, I face the dawn,
Another day where hope is drawn.
Through silent tears and muffled cries,
I search for strength beneath the skies.
In solitude, I find my peace,
A moment’s rest, a brief release.
Yet still I rise, though burdened low,
With courage fierce, my spirit grows.
This illness may my body claim,
But never will it dim my flame.
