The Silent Scream of Vanishing Trees

Poetry Image

In the heart of the forest, a silence grows,
Where once the whispers of leaves would flow.
The ax strikes deep, and roots are torn,
A land of green, now left forlorn.

Majestic giants touch the sky,
Their boughs a haven for life nearby.
But chainsaws hum a mournful tune,
Beneath the pale and shrinking moon.

The creatures flee, their homes erased,
The earth beneath them laid to waste.
Rivers weep, their courses changed,
By hands of men, the world’s rearranged.

O listen close, to nature’s plea,
Preserve the green, let forests be.
For in each tree, a story’s told,
Of life’s embrace, and roots of old.
