The Silent Pain of Love’s Betrayal

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, shadows cast their gloom,
Whispers of regret echo in the room.
Hearts once bound by love’s gentle embrace,
Now torn apart, lost in time and space.

Eyes that once sparkled with dreams so bright,
Now dimmed by tears, hidden from sight.
Words once tender, now sharp like a knife,
Cutting deep, changing the course of life.

The silence between us grows ever wide,
A chasm formed by hurt, we cannot hide.
Memories of joy, now tainted with pain,
Leaving scars that will always remain.

Yet in this darkness, a lesson learned,
Love’s fragility, respect must be earned.
For though we hurt, and though we cry,
Love’s true essence will never die.
