The Silent Embrace of Winter Solstice Night

Poetry Image

In the stillness of the longest night,
A quietude so deep, so bright,
The world in slumber, hush profound,
As stars in velvet skies abound.

Snowflakes dance on midnight’s breath,
Whispers of the earth’s soft death,
Yet in this cold, a promise lies,
Of dawn to break the frozen ties.

The moon, a sentinel in the dark,
Guides dreams with its gentle spark,
While shadows weave a silent song,
In winter’s arms, we all belong.

As solstice marks the turning tide,
Hope kindles, waiting to bide,
For in this night, new light is sown,
Winter’s gift, a seedling grown.
