In the shadows of my room, I linger in despair,
The silence deafening, no one seems to care.
Walls closing in, my thoughts a tangled mess,
Isolation’s grip, a suffocating press.
Each day a mirror reflecting my own face,
No voices to comfort, no tender embrace.
Time stands still, moments blend and blur,
In this lonely world, my heart starts to stir.
Dreams of freedom dance within my mind,
A distant hope, so hard to find.
The world outside, a place of light and sound,
Yet here I stay, in solitude, I’m bound.
One day I’ll break these chains that hold me tight,
Step into the world, embrace the light.
Until that day, I’ll dream and quietly yearn,
For the end of isolation, for my soul to return.
