The Silent Echo of Shame

Poetry Image

In the stillness of the night, it whispers low,
A shadowed voice that hides from light’s embrace.
In hearts it dwells, a secret pain we know,
The silent echo of a fallen grace.

It binds us tight with chains unseen, yet strong,
Each misstep’s memory a haunting tune.
In crowded rooms, it lingers, lingering long,
A weight that bends the soul beneath its rune.

Eyes averted, seeking solace in the dark,
We wear our masks to hide the inner strife.
Yet in the shadows, shame will leave its mark,
A ghostly presence threading through our life.

But there is hope in facing what’s concealed,
In breaking free from shame’s relentless hold.
To find the strength in wounds that time has healed,
And step into the light, reborn and bold.
