The Silent Cry of Vanishing Forests: A Lament for the Trees We Lost and the Earth We Endanger

Poetry Image

In the heart of green, a silent cry,
Whispers of leaves as they bid goodbye,
Once mighty giants, now shadows cast,
In fields of memory, where echoes last.

The chainsaws hum a mournful tune,
As sunlight fades beneath the noon,
The forest floor, once rich and deep,
Now barren lands where silence weeps.

Birds once sang in vibrant hues,
Now search the skies for skies they knew,
A tapestry of life unwoven,
In the wake of progress, unforgiven.

Yet in the whispers of the breeze,
A plea for mercy, a chance to seize,
To heal the wounds, to plant anew,
A future green, a promise true.
