In the silent night, shadows whisper,
Tales of sorrow, hearts that blister,
Divided lands, a cruel decree,
Apartheid’s chains, yearning to be free.
Children gaze with eyes so wide,
Dreams of unity, hopes denied,
Walls of fear, hearts turned to stone,
Apartheid’s grip, seeds of discord sown.
Mothers weep, their tears like rain,
Fathers toil, enduring pain,
A world apart, yet hearts entwine,
Apartheidâs scars, a bitter sign.
But dawn shall break, the light shall rise,
New horizons, hopeful skies,
Together we shall break the chains,
Apartheidâs end, where love remains.
