The Silent Chains of Destruction: A Journey Through the Shadows of Drug Addiction

Poetry Image

In the shadows where whispers reside,
A relentless pull, a silent guide.
Promises of peace in a fleeting embrace,
Yet slowly, surely, it erases your face.

Once a dreamer with skies so wide,
Now trapped in a cycle, nowhere to hide.
The colors fade, the world turns gray,
As the chains of addiction lead you astray.

Loved ones watch, their hearts in pain,
Hoping for sunshine, praying for rain.
But the storm rages on, fierce and wild,
Leaving scars on the soul, once undefiled.

Still, beneath the wreckage, a spark remains,
A flicker of hope amidst the chains.
With courage and strength, the battle can be won,
To reclaim the light, to rise with the sun.
