In the shadows lurks a gripping fear,
A whispering void that draws us near.
Like silent chains, it binds our soul,
A ravenous beast we can’t control.
Once vibrant dreams now fade to grey,
As life’s purpose slips away.
The world outside, a distant haze,
Lost within this endless maze.
Loved ones’ faces blur with time,
Replaced by shadows, cold and unkind.
The warmth of life, a fading ember,
In this prison, we surrender.
Yet within, a spark still glows,
A yearning flame, a hope that grows.
For in the darkest night, we find,
The strength to leave the past behind.
