The Silent Burden of Expectations: Breaking the Chains of Toxic Masculinity

Poetry Image

In shadows deep, a mask we wear,
A silent burden, heavy with despair.
Voices loud, demanding might,
Yet hearts beneath, seek softer light.

In whispered tones, the truth unfolds,
A tender soul, the struggle holds.
Bound by chains of strength defined,
Yet yearning for a gentler mind.

The world demands a hardened shell,
But within, emotions swell.
To show the tears, to break the mold,
Is courage rare, and stories told.

Rise, oh heart, in defiant song,
For in your truth, you do belong.
Let kindness be the guiding star,
Embrace the self, just as you are.
