The Silent Abyss of a Dark Depression

Poetry Image

In the shadows of my mind, where light dares not tread,
A somber darkness whispers, filling my soul with dread.
Each thought a heavy burden, each breath a painful sigh,
In the silent abyss, I quietly lie.

The weight of unseen chains, pulling me deeper down,
Into the depths of sorrow, where I might forever drown.
Hope seems but a distant memory, a flicker in the night,
As I wander through this darkness, devoid of any light.

The world outside is vibrant, colored in hues of gold,
But inside, all is muted, my spirit feeling cold.
I wear a mask of smiles, to hide the tears within,
Yet the cracks are slowly showing, revealing where I’ve been.

In this realm of shadows, where silence reigns supreme,
I search for a glimmer, a fragment of a dream.
Though the path is weary, and the night is long,
I cling to the hope, that one day, I’ll be strong.
