The Silence Between Us

Poetry Image

In the crowded room, I stand alone,
Beside your shadow, cold as stone.
Your words are whispers, lost in air,
A void of feeling, a silent despair.

We share a space, yet miles apart,
Your distant eyes, a breaking heart.
Love’s warm embrace has turned to frost,
In this relationship, I’m utterly lost.

Once we danced in sync, hand in hand,
Now we drift in a barren land.
Your touch, a ghost, no longer there,
I’m screaming silence, you unaware.

The silence grows, a chasm deep,
In a bed of dreams, I silently weep.
Alone together, night and day,
In this love’s shadow, I slowly decay.
