The Shadows That Haunt My Silent Nights

Poetry Image

In the depths of the darkest hour, where silence reigns supreme,
Shadows dance upon my walls, invading every dream.
Whispers of forgotten fears, they echo in my mind,
Tangling thoughts in webs of dread, no solace can I find.

The moonlight casts its eerie glow, a pale and ghostly sight,
While specters of my deepest fears emerge within the night.
Their icy fingers trace my soul, a chill that paralyzes,
In this realm of endless dread, where every hope disguises.

I wander through this shadowed maze, a labyrinth of woe,
Each corner hides a faceless fear, a whisper soft and low.
Dreams dissolve to nightmares, a relentless, ceaseless stream,
I’m caught within this endless night, a prisoner of my scream.

Yet in the darkest corners, a flicker of the dawn,
A promise of the morning light, where nightmares will be gone.
Until that time, I brace myself, endure the nightly fight,
For even in the blackest night, there always lies the light.
