The Shadows of Political Corruption: A Nation’s Silent Struggle

Poetry Image

In the halls where power resides,
Shadows whisper, secrets hide,
Promises made in gilded rooms,
Turn to dust, in silent tombs.

Leaders rise with noble intent,
Dreams of change, they soon relent,
Greed and graft, the silent thieves,
Rob the land of its beliefs.

Citizens cry for justice clear,
But their voices disappear,
In a system built on lies,
Hope fades, and slowly dies.

Yet in the dark, a spark remains,
A flicker of truth, amid the chains,
For in the end, the people’s might,
Will bring the dawn, and end the night.
