The Shadows of Drug Abuse: A Silent Cry for Help and Hope

Poetry Image

In the silence of the night, a whisper grows,
A cry for help, a heart that knows,
The pain of needles, the pills consumed,
In a world where hope is often doomed.

A fleeting high, a moment’s peace,
The shadows dance, they never cease,
A life entangled in the chains,
Of a poison flowing through the veins.

The dreams that shatter, the tears that fall,
A silent plea within the call,
For freedom from this dark embrace,
To find a light, to find a place.

Yet in the darkest depth of night,
There lies a spark, a distant light,
A chance to rise, to break away,
And find the dawn of a new day.
