The Shadows of Discrimination: A Silent Cry

Poetry Image

In the heart of the night, where whispers dwell,
Lies the unseen wound, a story to tell.
Eyes that judge, and hearts that freeze,
A world divided, where love finds no ease.

Under the same sky, yet worlds apart,
The color of skin, a mark to chart.
Dreams deferred, and hopes that break,
Injustice served, a soul to ache.

Voices silenced, in shadows they stand,
Yearning for a touch, a helping hand.
Bound by chains of a history’s blight,
Yearning for dawn, an end to the night.

Yet in the darkness, a spark ignites,
A flame of hope, in the silent nights.
United we’ll stand, hand in hand,
To break the chains, and heal the land.
