The Shadows of Bitter Hearts

Poetry Image

In the depths of night, where shadows dwell,
Lies a heart hardened by tales untold.
Whispers of anger in silence swell,
As warmth of love turns bitter cold.

The echoes of disdain, a haunting growl,
Resentment’s grip tightens, a ruthless snare.
Eyes that once sparkled now darkly scowl,
Under the weight of burdens they bear.

Words once tender now drip with spite,
Cutting deep, unseen, like sharpened steel.
In the battle of wrongs, there is no light,
Only the wounds that time cannot heal.

Yet amid the storm, a lesson lies,
That hate consumes what love once knew.
To find the dawn where forgiveness flies,
One must let go, and start anew.
