The sun blazes in the azure sky, relentless and fierce,
Its golden rays piercing through the air, a fiery spear.
The earth beneath sizzles and cracks, yearning for relief,
As the summer heat wraps all in its suffocating sheath.
Shimmering mirages dance upon the horizon’s line,
Waves of heat distorting the world, a cruel design.
The once lush meadows now dry and brittle,
Under the sun’s relentless, unyielding riddle.
In the shade, we seek solace, a moment’s reprieve,
From the blazing furnace that makes our skin seethe.
The cool touch of water, a fleeting escape,
From the summer heat’s overpowering drape.
As the day wanes, the horizon blushes red,
The scorching sun finally begins to shed.
Night falls, bringing a brief, cooling delight,
Until dawn breaks, with summer’s returning might.
