The Mirror Lies: Unveiling True Beauty Beyond Standards

Poetry Image

In the glass, a reflection stares back,
Framed by whispers of what’s perfect to lack.
Shadows of doubt creep in from behind,
Yet true beauty is of another kind.

Painted smiles and sculpted lines,
Chasing a dream that never shines.
Beneath the surface, a heart does beat,
Yearning for a world where soul and beauty meet.

Standards set by a fleeting trend,
Hard to follow, impossible to mend.
But beauty lies in every scar,
In the stories told, in who we are.

Let go of the mold, embrace the real,
For beauty is in how we feel.
Shatter the glass with a loving gaze,
And find that beauty in our own ways.
