The Masks We Wear and the Lies We Share

Poetry Image

In shadows deep, where truth is rare,
The masks we wear, the lies we share,
With smiles bright, deceit concealed,
Our true selves never revealed.

They weave their words in silken thread,
False tales spun, trust left for dead,
Behind the veil of false delight,
Their hearts remain out of sight.

A labyrinth of hidden schemes,
Where nothing’s ever as it seems,
In every glance, in every word,
The truth is twisted, blurred, unheard.

So beware the charm, the flawless guise,
For in their eyes, a thousand lies,
And though they seem so kind, so grand,
Their souls are built on shifting sand.
