In the mirror of desire, I see a face,
A heart that beats for none but its own grace.
In shadows deep, I walk alone,
For selfishness has claimed my throne.
The world around, a distant hum,
In my cocoon, all senses numb.
I gather dreams, my own to keep,
While others’ hopes I let them seep.
The garden of my heart, overgrown,
With weeds of self, where love is sown.
Yet in this solitude, I find,
A voice that echoes, cold and blind.
But as the silence wraps me tight,
I yearn for stars, for shared light.
To break these chains, to let love grow,
In giving, find the self I know.
