The Intense Embrace of Summer Heat

Poetry Image

The sun blazes high in the sky,
Its golden rays kiss the earth,
Shadows retreat and hide away,
As the summer heat takes birth.

Fields shimmer with a golden hue,
Waves of warmth ripple the air,
The world slows down in the afternoon,
Under the sun’s intense glare.

The scent of flowers fills the breeze,
As leaves dance in lazy swirls,
The cicadas sing their endless song,
In this heated summer world.

Evening brings a sigh of relief,
As twilight cools the fiery day,
Stars blink awake in the night sky,
While summer dreams gently sway.
