The Hidden Faces Beneath the Mask

Poetry Image

Beneath the mask, a world concealed,
A myriad of emotions, never revealed.
We wear our shields, in silence and grace,
Hiding our truths, in this masked embrace.

Eyes become windows to the soul,
Words muffled, yet hearts remain whole.
A silent language, we learn to speak,
Through gestures and glances, in moments so meek.

The mask, a symbol of our time,
A barrier, yet a bridge so prime.
It guards and protects, yet keeps us apart,
A strange connection, felt deep in the heart.

One day, the masks will fall away,
Revealing the smiles that long to stay.
Until that day, we’ll wear our guise,
And find new ways to empathize.
