The Guardian of Gentle Showers

Poetry Image

Underneath the sky’s embrace, you stand so tall and true,
A shield against the rain’s soft kiss, a shelter for the few.
Your fabric stretches wide and strong, a canopy of care,
Protecting those who wander by, from droplets in the air.

In colors bright or somber hues, you dance with every breeze,
A partner in the storm’s wild waltz, with elegance and ease.
The pitter-patter on your skin, a soothing lullaby,
As thunder roars and lightning strikes, you hold the stormy sky.

Beneath your arch, the world feels safe, a haven from the fray,
A moment’s peace, a dry respite, amidst the wet array.
The city streets, the countryside, you traverse every land,
A faithful friend, a steadfast guard, held gently in our hand.

When storms subside and skies are clear, you fold and rest once more,
Awaiting the next call to arms, a sentinel on shore.
Oh, humble umbrella, guardian true, through sunshine and through rain,
We’ll walk together, come what may, through joy and through the pain.
