The Gentle Whisper of Goodbye

Poetry Image

In the silence of the twilight’s embrace,
Where shadows dance and memories trace,
A gentle whisper calls my name,
As life begins to wane, it’s not the same.

The stars above, they softly gleam,
Reflecting dreams that once did seem,
To light the path of endless night,
Now fading slowly, out of sight.

With every breath, a story told,
Of love and loss, of brave and bold,
The echoes of a life well-spent,
In whispers now, they find content.

As dawn approaches, soft and bright,
I drift away into the light,
Embracing peace, no more to cry,
In the gentle whisper of goodbye.
