The Gentle Embrace of Laziness on a Quiet Afternoon

Poetry Image

In the soft hush of the afternoon light,
Where time seems to linger and pause,
Laziness unfolds its gentle might,
In dreams without a cause.

The world outside whispers and calls,
Yet here in this cocoon of ease,
The ticking clock fades and falls,
In the embrace of a lazy breeze.

Thoughts drift like clouds in a tranquil sky,
Unburdened by tasks or fleeting haste,
Moments pass with a contented sigh,
In the gentle art of doing naught but waste.

In this realm of peaceful reprieve,
Where ambition takes a gentle rest,
Laziness, a gift we believe,
In idleness, we find the best.
