The Fractured Bonds of Time’s Lament

Poetry Image

Once we walked hand in hand,
Hearts intertwined, a perfect band.
Secrets shared, laughter’s sound,
In our friendship, solace found.

Yet whispers of doubt began to grow,
Shadows cast in friendship’s glow.
Misunderstandings carved deep scars,
Turning friends into distant stars.

Words once kind turned sharp and cold,
Trust eroded, stories left untold.
The bridge we built began to sway,
As memories of us started to fray.

Now we stand on separate shores,
Silent echoes of what was before.
In the silence, a painful truth,
The end of a friendship, lost in youth.
