The Flight and Fall of Icarus: A Journey Too Close to the Sun

Poetry Image

In the golden light of dawn, he soared,
Wings of wax and feather, dreams adorned,
Above the azure waves, a path explored,
In the realm where legends are born.

Guided by ambition, the sky his stage,
A daring dance with destiny’s gaze,
Higher he climbed, beyond the sage,
In the heart of the heavens, lost in a maze.

The sun whispered secrets of warmth and flame,
But blinded by glory, he ignored the claim,
A moment of triumph, a fleeting fame,
Before the fall, before the shame.

Into the depths, he tumbled down,
From dreams so high to oceans profound,
A cautionary tale in myth renowned,
In Icarus, the lesson is found.
