The Endless Hunger: A Tale of Desire Unquenched

Poetry Image

In the heart where shadows blend,
Lies a thirst that knows no end,
A ceaseless call of whispered dreams,
In golden streams and silver beams.

The eyes that glisten in the dark,
Seek treasures hidden, treasures stark,
A yearning deep, a craving wide,
Consuming all with silent pride.

The hands that grasp, never release,
In their clutch, the world finds no peace,
A cycle spun with threads of need,
With every gain, a deeper greed.

Yet in the mirror’s somber gaze,
Reflects a soul in endless maze,
For what is wealth if not a chain,
Binding hearts in hollow gain.
