The Echoes of Unspoken Words

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, shadows fall,
Whispers of moments lost, memories recall,
Regret’s soft whisper, a haunting refrain,
Of paths not taken, and dreams left in vain.

The days gone by, like leaves in the wind,
Choices made, and chances rescind,
The heart aches for what could have been,
In the silence, the soul seeks to mend.

Eyes closed, I see the crossroads of time,
A fork in the journey, a reason to rhyme,
If only I had spoken, if only I knew,
The weight of regret, a burden so true.

Yet in the sorrow, there’s a lesson to find,
In the echoes of regret, a heart more kind,
For the future awaits, with paths anew,
To make right the wrongs, and dreams pursue.
