The Echoes of Battle: A Tale of War’s Shadow

Poetry Image

In fields once green, now stained with red,
Where silence reigns, and whispers tread.
The cries of men, long turned to dust,
In shadows deep, their memories rust.
The drums of war, a distant beat,
Echo through valleys of defeat.
A world once bright, now cloaked in gray,
As dreams of peace drift far away.
The stars above, in mournful gaze,
Watch over lands where fires blaze.
In hearts of those who fight and fall,
Resides the hope, the end of all.
Yet in the dawn, a promise new,
That light shall break the darkest hue.
For in the end, when battles cease,
The world will find its way to peace.
