The Dark Descent and Fragile Hope of Addiction

Poetry Image

In the shadows of the night, whispers call,
A siren’s song, a fateful fall.
Shattered dreams and fractured light,
A soul consumed by endless night.

Eyes once bright now dim with sorrow,
Seeking solace in a bleak tomorrow.
Chains of need, a heart’s lament,
Lost in the grip of a cruel torment.

Yet beneath the ash, embers remain,
A flicker of hope in the midst of pain.
Through the darkness, a path may find,
A way to heal, to leave behind.

Reach for the dawn, for the light anew,
With strength and love, to journey through.
For even in the deepest night,
There’s a promise of morning’s light.
