The Armor Weighs Heavy: Breaking Free from Toxic Masculinity

Poetry Image

In the shadows of steel and stone, we hide,
Burdened by the weight of pride,
Hearts encased in iron, not our own,
Voices silenced, feelings overthrown.

The world demands we stand so tall,
But who will catch us when we fall?
Emotions locked, tears unshed,
In this fortress, we are misled.

Strength misconstrued as cold and harsh,
A soldier’s march in a barren marsh,
Seeking solace in a war that’s unseen,
Fighting battles where we can’t convene.

Strip away the chains of toxic might,
Embrace the dawn, let in the light,
Together, we can change the story,
Redefine strength, reclaim our glory.
