In a sea of faces, I stand alone,
A whisper in a thunderous crowd,
Seeking solace in echoes unknown,
Amongst the voices, I am not loud.
The colors blend, yet I remain gray,
A shadow cast in the brightest light,
Navigating through night and day,
Searching for where I might belong, despite.
Laughter surrounds, but it feels so distant,
Like a melody I can’t quite hear,
My heart beats in rhythms insistent,
To find a place where I feel near.
Though different paths I tread in silence,
I hold hope in my wandering heart,
That one day I’ll bridge this defiance,
And find where I fit, never to part.
