Shakespearean Reflections on Mortality

Poetry Image

Beneath the stars, where shadows softly creep,
Lies the final rest, a solemn, silent sleep.
In twilight’s embrace, life’s last breath we take,
As the world fades, and we our leave must make.

The hourglass runs with sands of golden hue,
Each grain a memory, a life in review.
When time doth cease, and hearts no longer beat,
We find repose in death’s serene retreat.

And though we part from those we dearly love,
Our spirits soar to realms of peace above.
In whispered winds, our voices softly sing,
Of life’s brief dance, and the eternal spring.

So let us cherish every fleeting day,
For soon we journey on a path away.
In death we find the end to all our strife,
And thus, begins the timeless afterlife.
