Shadows of Trust in a Broken Heart

Poetry Image

In the quiet whispers of the night,
Doubts creep into my weary mind.
Once a fortress strong and bright,
Now crumbling, trust I cannot find.

Promises like fragile glass,
Shattered by the weight of lies.
Memories of a painful past,
Cloud my heart, darken my skies.

Eyes that once shone with faith,
Now guarded, wary, and cold.
Love’s tender touch, a wraith,
In a story that’s grown old.

Yet in the deepest part of me,
A spark of hope remains.
That one day I will see,
Trust reborn through love’s gentle rains.
