Shadows of the Silent Night

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the evening’s embrace,
Where shadows linger, hearts retrace,
The whisper of sorrow, a gentle sigh,
Beneath the moon’s watchful eye.

Tears fall like rain from clouded skies,
A symphony of unspoken cries,
The echoes of memories left behind,
In the corners of a troubled mind.

Darkness weaves its tender shroud,
Enveloping the heart, so loud,
Yet silence speaks of pain so deep,
Where forgotten dreams quietly sleep.

The night grows old, the stars grow dim,
A melancholic, timeless hymn,
But with the dawn, hope might arise,
To dry the tears from weary eyes.
