Shadows of the Past

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, shadows creep,
Of memories buried, in silence they weep.
Echoes of sorrow in the dark they stay,
Haunting the mind in a ghostly array.

Broken whispers of a time once bright,
Now veiled in pain, hidden from sight.
The heart aches with an unspoken plea,
For solace, for peace, for a moment free.

Faces and places that time can’t erase,
Trapped in a cycle, an endless chase.
Seeking the light in a world so dim,
Fighting the shadows, limb by limb.

Yet through the darkness, a glimmer of hope,
A fragile thread, a guiding rope.
For even in trauma, strength is found,
In the depths of despair, resilience is crowned.
