Shadows in the Light: A Tale of False Companions and Broken Trust

Poetry Image

In the garden where trust once bloomed bright,
Lurks the shadow of deceit, veiled in light.
Whispers of promises, sweet as a song,
Yet beneath the surface, all is wrong.

They wear smiles like masks in a masquerade,
Their words woven with threads of charade.
With every step, their footprints fade,
Leaving no trace of the bonds we made.

The laughter shared, now echoes in vain,
A mirage of friendship, causing pain.
In eyes that once shone with shared delight,
Lies the betrayal, hidden from sight.

Yet through the storm, the heart learns to see,
The strength in knowing who to set free.
For in the end, true friends remain clear,
While false ones vanish, like mist in the air.
