Shadows in the Light: A Reflection on the Unseen Struggles of Those Who Stand at the Edge of Society, Facing the Storms of Discrimination

Poetry Image

In the whispers of the night, they stand alone,
Voices hushed by the weight of silent screams,
Bound by chains unseen, in hearts of stone,
As dreams dissolve in fractured streams.

Beneath the veil of equal light, they wander,
Shadows cast by eyes that choose to ignore,
Where hope and fear eternally ponder,
Seeking solace on a distant shore.

Hands reach out, though often left in vain,
As walls of prejudice rise ever high,
Yet courage blooms amidst the pain,
A silent vow beneath the open sky.

Together we must break this cycle spun,
Embrace the light that binds us as one,
For in unity, a new dawn begun,
Where discrimination’s reign is truly undone.
