Shadows in the Halls of Power: Unveiling the Veil of Deceit

Poetry Image

In the corridors where whispers fade,
Lies are crafted, truths betrayed.
Power’s grip tightens like a vice,
Shadows dance, a silent heist.

Promises made on gilded tongues,
Echo in halls where justice’s hung.
Greed’s embrace knows no end,
In this game, few comprehend.

Beneath the marble, secrets lie,
As the people’s voices die.
Corruption weaves its darkened thread,
Leaving honor cold and dead.

Yet hope flickers in hearts so true,
For a dawn where skies are blue.
Rise we must, and justice claim,
To cleanse the land and end the shame.
