Poverty’s Silent Cry in the Night

Poetry Image

In the shadowed corners of the world,
Where dreams are stifled and hopes unfurl,
Lies a silent cry, a whispered plea,
From hearts that yearn to be free.

Hunger gnaws at the fragile frame,
A cruel reminder of life’s harsh game,
Eyes that shimmer with a hollow glare,
Reflecting a world that seems unfair.

Hands reach out, but find no hold,
In a world where warmth has turned to cold,
The weight of poverty, an endless fight,
Shadows their days and haunts their night.

Yet in the darkest depths of despair,
A spark of hope persists, rare,
For even in the bleakest scenes,
The human spirit dares to dream.
