Nature’s Wail: A Lament of Change

Poetry Image

The skies once clear, now murky grey,
Whisper secrets of the earth’s decay.
Forests once lush, with green so bright,
Now stand barren, in the fading light.

Oceans rise with a vengeful roar,
Encroaching swiftly upon the shore.
Creatures weep in silent plea,
For the world as it used to be.

Icebergs melt in the northern clime,
A testament to our fleeting time.
Rivers dry and deserts spread,
As we tread where angels dread.

Will we heal this wounded land,
With gentle touch and caring hand?
Or will we watch with tearful eyes,
As the last of nature’s beauty dies?
