More Than Just Friends: The Unspoken Desires

Poetry Image

In the quiet moments we share,
A lingering touch, a secret stare,
Unspoken words that fill the air,
A silent wish, a hidden prayer.

We laugh and play, as friends do,
Yet my heart beats faster near you,
Each smile, each glance, a clue,
Of feelings deep, of love so true.

I dream of nights, of whispered sighs,
Your hand in mine, no more disguise,
The truth unveiled, no more lies,
Just you and me, beneath the skies.

But fear holds tight, my heart’s refrain,
What if we lose, what if there’s pain?
So I remain, within this chain,
A friend in love, with much to gain.
