Monsters Lurking in Shadows and Hiding in Dreams

Poetry Image

In the whispers of the night they call,
Shadows dance upon the wall.
Teeth gleam like stars in endless skies,
Monsters roam where silence lies.

Beneath the bed and in the closet’s dark,
Their presence ignites a fleeting spark.
Eyes like embers, glowing bright,
They haunt the edges of our sight.

In dreams they weave a tangled thread,
Filling minds with silent dread.
Yet, in the morning’s golden light,
They fade away from conscious sight.

But in the heart, they linger still,
A shadowed echo, a quiet thrill.
For monsters, whether real or feigned,
Are born from fears we’ve never tamed.
