Memories Fading Like Autumn Leaves

Poetry Image

Like leaves in autumn, memories fall,
Once vivid, now distant, barely a whisper.
The colors of the past slowly fade,
Into the gray of a forgotten yesterday.

I try to grasp the essence of days gone by,
But they slip through my fingers like grains of sand.
Faces, voices, moments once clear,
Now dissolve into the mist of time.

The heart aches for what once was,
Yet finds solace in the present’s embrace.
For every memory that fades away,
A new chapter begins, a new dawn breaks.

So let the leaves fall, let the past rest,
In the garden of forgotten dreams.
For in the cycle of remembering and forgetting,
We find ourselves, anew, each day.
