Medusa’s Gaze: A Lament of Stone and Serpent

Poetry Image

In a world where shadows coil and twist,
Medusa roams with a heart adrift.
Her serpents dance in a mournful waltz,
A tragic beauty, burdened with faults.

Eyes that once held dreams so bright,
Now cast terror, freezing light.
Her solitude, a prison of lore,
In myths and whispers, forevermore.

The curse that turned her heart to stone,
Left her to wander, forever alone.
A silent scream within her soul,
Yearning for a life once whole.

But beneath the scales and monstrous guise,
Lies a being with sorrowful eyes.
Medusa’s tale, a timeless plight,
Of love lost in eternal night.
