Malnutrition: A Silent Scream, A Hidden Struggle, A Lingering Pain, An Unseen Battle

Poetry Image

In the shadows, they quietly weep,
A hunger so deep, it invades their sleep,
Dreams of nourishment, a distant shore,
Lives so fragile, they can’t ignore.

Bones like whispers, fragile and light,
Eyes that have lost their hopeful sight,
The body speaks where words are few,
A silent cry for the world to view.

Each morsel missed, a tear untold,
In the heart of the young and the old,
Malnutrition, an invisible chain,
Binding souls in relentless pain.

Yet hope remains, a spark so bright,
With empathy and collective might,
We can nourish, heal, and renew,
Turning dreams into a life anew.
