Lost Laughter in the Shadows of Friendship

Poetry Image

In the quiet corners where we used to laugh,
Shadows linger where light once cast,
Our smiles now a memory, a distant echo,
As sorrow fills the spaces love used to know.

We shared secrets under the twilight sky,
Dreams whispered on the wings of night,
Now those dreams are scattered, blown apart,
Leaving only fragments of a broken heart.

The world moves on, indifferent to our pain,
Yet in my heart, your absence remains,
A silent cry, a longing for what was,
For the friendship that time and fate have lost.

In the garden of memories, we still meet,
Ghosts of the past, incomplete,
Hoping one day, the sun will rise,
And bring back the laughter to our eyes.
